A Maternity Session on a Perfect Fall Day

I was so excited when these two reached out for a maternity session with me! We met up on a cool, late autumn day at Cross Estate Gardens in Bernardsville, New Jersey. This location is one of my favorites, and you’ll see why as you scroll through the photos. There is so much variety here between the perennial garden, stone pergola, fields, and water tower. Somerset County (and really Central New Jersey) is a photographer’s dream; the landscapes we have are absolutely stunning!

Briana was due in January and now has a sweet little boy! She was 7 months pregnant at the time which was the perfect time to book a maternity session. We want to show off mom’s baby bump, but we want to do so before some of the late pregnancy aches and pains catch up. She was amazing, walking through fields and the beautiful gardens. 

We had fun chatting in between poses and talking about their growing family. These two have completely renovated their Somerset County home from top to bottom, and they did an amazing job! Their timing with finishing off that big project was ideal as they can be settled before baby comes.

I am so excited for these two and can’t wait to meet baby L!
