A Mercer County Couple’s Session with Two Amazing People

I was so excited when these two reached out to do a couple’s session with me! A and C had not had professional couple’s photos taken in a long time and wanted some updated portraits to hang in their new home. C had also recently retired from the Air Force so this session commemorated that career shift. 

This session was in April, so we decided on a location where I could capture the blooming trees and flowers as our backdrop. We met up at Sayen Gardens in Hamilton, NJ, a beautiful garden in Mercer County, NJ that is well worth a visit. It’s a Central Jersey gem that I have only recently discovered and added to my location offerings.

We arrived early that spring morning and utilized several areas of the garden, starting at the ornate gazebo, heading over to the pond with a fountain, over the bridge, into a wooded area, and finishing at a bench surrounded by flowers. I was thrilled to get some portraits of their dog, Buster, who was a bit camera shy in the beginning. 

After we were finished, we chatted for a bit at the car and then headed off to part two of the day! I was also doing a Best Friends photo session for A and several friends at Holland Ridge Farms. Click here for details from that session!
