A Best Friends Session Amongst the Tulips

This best friends session was so special to do. I met these four through my husband a few years ago, and I am so happy that they are part of our lives! They are smart, kind, funny, adventurous, loyal, and honest. The kind of people you definitely want to have in your tribe. When we chatted about doing a best friends session, they were in! We landed on Holland Ridge Farms for our location, a beautiful tulip farm in Central New Jersey that is a photographer’s dream.

Our timing was perfect for the peak tulip bloom. We arrived on a chilly April morning to a field full of beautiful flowers! We spent some time meandering through the blooms, admiring the different varieties that had been planted, until we found the perfect spot for their photos. These ladies were naturals, and we were able to get group shots and different combinations quickly.

After we finished shooting, we spent more time exploring the farm. They had many food trucks so of course we indulged in a wide variety of not so healthy foods. Mac and cheese, tacos, egg rolls, cheesesteaks, seafood chowder, and cupcakes were all on the menu. We also couldn’t leave without petting some cute farm animals (fun fact: I am obsessed with alpacas).

Best friends sessions are really fun because they showcase the strong bonds of friendship, the family you choose to have in your life. These relationships deserve all the nurturing, love, and appreciation that any other one does.
